In contrast to printed accounts, websites can be continuously changed, expanded and corrected. Every user is invited to utilize this great advantage. Contributions of any kind are welcome. Please read the text information critically and inform us about errors and insufficiencies. The text will be continuously revised and improved. We are also thankful for better and/or additional illustrations. The present presentation is only the start. Please remember, however, that we do not intend to illustrate as many species as possible. This should be the goal of separate websites devoted to particular genera. Do not hesitate to send us pictures (identified species only) for inspection and selection by e-mail (jpg-format, 72 dpi, 800 x 600 px). Please don't be disappointed when some of them will not appear in the web. Especially from many Chinese genera only line drawings can be presented at the moment. Complements by photos from wild or cultivated plants would be most welcome.
